Bird in Oil Spill by Brook Walden
Five year-old Brook Walden understands that the Gulf oil spill makes birds cry. The Gulf beaches, marshes, and water are home to millions of birds, fish, and other coastal wildlife. Their homes have been polluted and damaged by the oil spill. The Gulf birds and wildlife need your help to clean up the marshes, beaches, and water where they live.
Here are 3 simple ways you can help the Gulf:
Draw or Write for the Gulf. Brook Walden may be only 5, but she is helping the Gulf by contributing her drawing of a bird in the oil spill to the Gulf charity e-book “Artistic Expressions of the Gulf Oil Spill”. Contribute your drawings, poems, photos. or stories to Help The Gulf or to HelpTheGulf@worldbarrios.com. Read more at Everyone Can Help the Gulf Relief Effort.
Download Osceola’s Crying. A very moving song and video on the Gulf Oil Spill. It is now available on ITunes and 100% after fees goes to the Gulf Coast Oil Spill Fund.
Donate Financially. Donate at WorldBarrios.com to Help the Gulf or one of the other neighborhood improvement causes. World Barrios is committed to helping improve neighborhoods around the world.

Thank you so much for listing these options for helping! I think a lot of people, myself included want to help in situations like these but just don’t know how. Having a few options makes it so much easier. I’m going to download Osceola’s Crying now and share this list with my friends too.
I will share this and ask all my friends to do the same
