Neighborhoods International, LLC was founded in June 2010 by Carolyn Flynn and David Almendarez.
As we watched the economy spiraling downward and the Gulf oil spill we felt a need to provide a service where people could interact with each other, learn, and help each other survive during these hard times. Everyone lives in a neighborhood and wants a peaceful, healthy environment to raise their family in. As people are losing jobs and times are getting tough, family may not be enough to help with the day to day needs. People need to know who their neighbors are, establish trust and relationships, and be willing to communicate, share, and assist to help everyone make it through these difficult times.
America is not the only country that is going through economic difficulties. Other countries around the world are experiencing similar trials. America is a young country and their many more establish countries that have gone through hard times and have been able to pull their people through the difficulties to re-establish peace and prosperity. We felt that it was not only important to know our neighbors, but to communicate with other communities, societies and countries so that we can learn, share, and help each other.
Neighborhoods International, LLC is about helping all people. If Scottsdale, Arizona has a neighborhood program that works and is helping their community we want to get the word out so that other neighborhoods and communities can benefit from the program. If Australia has programs that work we want England, Africa, Russia, and America to know about it. So it can be implemented in other countries and neighborhoods to help people around the world. We also want to get the word out about who is in need and how people can help. If their is an oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico or an earthquake in Haiti or Costa Rica we want the world to know what is going on and what they can do to help out.
The Internet is a marvelous tool that allows people to communicate and assist from all over the world. My neighbor is not just the person who lives next door to me. My neighbor is the person who lives on this planet with me. It’s important that I know my neighbors and help my neighbors. We live in a worldwide neighborhood. We want to make it a great place to live and raise a family in.
